Well, what can I say? I'm sitting here listening to the ipod waiting for a call from my friend who said we would go to the school today. I thought I'd take the kids and let them check it out. Why don't I just go myself you ask? Well, I'd actually have to have a driver to have the freedom to go anywhere outside of this football field sized compound. (O.K. so maybe the whole compound couldn't fit inside a football field, but it could probably be debated.) The good news is we have signed a contract with a guy who can start Monday. This guy is a hoot! With most people here English is a second language. With this guy that is not the problem. It is quite the opposite really, he is so talkative. I know I'm really one to accuse on this subject, but the other day we were talking about terms of the contract, and we told him not to come in sick or we'd sack (fire) him. So, he procedes to go into a whole disertation about how sometimes you feel good in the morning, but then in the middle of the day you start to feel sick. I guess he hasn't caught on to the fact that we are actually reasonable people. You have to cover all your bases around here. The other day I heard this personal trainer guy ask someone if he could borrow a goodly some of money. The trainer turned to me and said, indicating to the other guy, "His wife is one of my clients and she is looking really good." Apparently this was justification for borrowing money. I'll do Spencer a favor and think twice before I call this trainer for a session. Anyway we were just trying to make a point, and this driver guy is more likely to come in sick than abuse the fact that we still pay him when he stays home sick. It would be impossible to describe the quirkiness of this fellow, but we really like him for some reason. I tell you these people from N sure know how to haggle. ~A
